I wanted to post this eye look I sported at an ugly Christmas sweater party a couple weeks ago. It’s a fun, over-the-top, holiday look that I hope you all enjoy. I used a variety of shadows to accomplish the final result, but this can easily be accomplished with two or three shades.
I used a Maybelline Eye Studio Color Tattoo 24HR Cream Gel Shadow base in Edgy Emerald, and then mixed a whole lot of greens together including MAC’s Feeling Fresh (Hey, Sailor collection), and the green shade in the Wet ‘n’ Wild I Heart Matte palette. For the crease I used a combination of the greens in the Wet ‘n’ Wild Color Icon Comfort Zone palette. For a highlight I used NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk, set with MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle.
To soften the green edges and fade out to my brow bone, I used several nude shades from my Urban Decay Naked palette, as well as a berry blush from MAC. I find most eye looks have more depth when you use this technique, especially on smokey eyes. I also lined my top and bottom lashes with Tarte Amazonian clay waterproof gel liner in black, smudging the bottom lashes with a combination of the green shades used on the lid.
And finally, I had to top this off with a pair of outlandish, glamorous lashes. The lashes pictured are Ardell and part of their Wild Lash collection, which I believe was limited edition during the Halloween season. You can use any lashes you like or just go natural. I think a party is the perfect excuse to break out the crazy lashes! In addition to false lashes, I also applied Almay’s Get Up and Grow mascara to my own for added drama, and to blend my natural lashes in with the falsies.
If you wanted to take this look one more step, you could add glitter. I chose not to because of the dramatic lashes I was using. I hope you enjoyed this holiday look, and have fun recreating it at home!

Love the photo illustrating the results … amazing job!
